Factory Audit for a Fin-Forming Machine Manufacturer
The client received a structured, scored audit report with photographs, giving them the evidence to approve the supplier with confidence. The audit confirmed the factory is a genuine manufacturer — not a trading intermediary — and quantified its monthly capacity for production planning.
Project background
A client planning to order fin-forming machines and related metal-processing equipment asked us to verify the manufacturer's capabilities before committing to a purchase.
The client needed independent confirmation of the factory's regulatory compliance, quality management, production control and real capacity — rather than relying on the supplier's own claims.
What we did
We carried out an on-site factory audit covering:
- Regulatory compliance — registration, operating licence, export licence and certifications;
- Quality management — ISO 9001 status, quality manuals and inspection records;
- Working conditions — facilities, safety equipment and production environment;
- Production control — dedicated inspectors, testing rooms and instruments;
- Production capacity — machinery inventory and monthly output.
The factory is a manufacturer of hardware, chains and light lifting equipment, with an ISO 9001 certification and a stated capacity of around 30 fin-forming machines per month. The audit report scored each dimension and was delivered to the client for approval before ordering.
Outcome & value
The client received a structured, scored audit report with photographs, giving them the evidence to approve the supplier with confidence. The audit confirmed the factory is a genuine manufacturer — not a trading intermediary — and quantified its monthly capacity for production planning.
