6000W Laser Cladding Machine: Full-System Pre-Shipment Inspection
The complete system was confirmed produced and functionally sound, with the full component list verified item by item. The client received a functional-test video and a clear list of items to confirm before shipment, allowing a controlled, informed release.
Project background
A client ordered a complete 6000W laser cladding system — fibre laser source, cladding heads, powder feeder, water chiller, voltage stabiliser, robot axis and rotary table — and required a full-system inspection before shipment.
The order spans many interdependent components, so the client needed confirmation that the complete set was produced, matched the specification, and passed a functional test.
What we did
We inspected the full system at the manufacturer's site under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 (MIL-STD-105E) sampling, covering:
- Component-by-component quantity check of all 13 ordered items;
- Parameter configuration against the production sheet;
- Assembly and function test, recorded on video;
- Measurement and weight of the major units;
- Nameplate and documentation review.
The on-site functional test performed well. We also flagged details requiring attention before shipment — such as the nameplate pending installation and the water chiller brand differing from the original note — so the client could confirm them explicitly.
Outcome & value
The complete system was confirmed produced and functionally sound, with the full component list verified item by item. The client received a functional-test video and a clear list of items to confirm before shipment, allowing a controlled, informed release.
