Folding House: On-Site Inspection of a Modular Building Order
The units were confirmed complete and correctly assembled, with the folding mechanism working as designed for container transport. The client approved shipment with video evidence of both the expanded and folded states.
Project background
A client importing prefabricated folding houses needed verification of the finished units before shipment — confirming structure, finish and completeness against the order.
Fold-away modular buildings are assembled and folded at the factory, so the inspection had to confirm both the expanded form and the folded, transport-ready state.
What we did
We inspected the units on site, checking:
- Structural integrity of the expanded house;
- Finish and fit of panels, edges and openings;
- Completeness of the order against the packing list;
- Folded state to confirm each unit collapses correctly for container loading.
Inspection footage was recorded on video so the client could review the assembly and folding process remotely.
Outcome & value
The units were confirmed complete and correctly assembled, with the folding mechanism working as designed for container transport. The client approved shipment with video evidence of both the expanded and folded states.
